Edmund was born to Ralph Caldwell and Mary Caldwell at their Dunsgate home in 1110. Ralph, age 26, was a prominent merchant in Dunsgate, owning six stores throughout the city. Mary, age 22, was the daughter of a minor nobleman and member of court. Edmund had a sister of 6 years when he was born, Anne. Due to the Caldwell's fortune, they could afford two tutors for their son and daughter (they believed in gender equality, strange for the time). Edmund was very interested in his father's trade growing up. He would often apprentice in the shops. At age 14, he contracted an illness that nearly took his life. Although they didn't how he became sick nor why, he was saved by heavy teas with silver woundwort. At age 20, Edmund finally found a place in his father's company. He was very successful, taking part early in the trades with the North. Trade was very prosperous for Caldwell & Company at this time because of the peace throughout the land. Edmund even purchased 10 ships for the company. At age 34, Emperor Leopold, an ally of his father, dies without any heirs. House Telroy was a close partner with the company, and the death of Leopold Telroy hurt the business. The Caldwells were not close to House Gritt whatsoever, causing tension between them. The Emperor knew not to bother Ralph and Edmund too much for they had too much power in the trade industry. Caldwell & Company thrived after the execution of Gregor Gritt, thanks to the abolishment of his trade blockades. After three years, House Ruthern and the Caldwells were in good standing with each other. Caldwell and Company was valued as one of the most powerful businesses in the kingdom. Edmund is currently in good standing with most people.
Character Traits & Ambitions-
Edmund is courteous. He was taught to be very polite.
Edmund is prudent. He has always planned for his future very carefully.
Edmund is arrogant. He often looks down on people of lower class than him. Also, he likes to show off to people his class or lower.
Edmund is money-minded. The merchant buisness makes him quite aware of money, especially his own. He is always finding ways to secure it.
Characters appearance (Be descriptive)- Edmund is tall at about 5'11 and 11.5 stone. He has dark hair from his Caldwell side. He has no facial hair besides his head hair. He often wears a dark red gambeson or doublet as red is his family color.

Your character finds themselves in the middle of an arena with nothing more than a robe on their back. As you character looks around there is what appears to be a spear on the ground approximately 15 meters ahead of them. They’re not the only person in this arena however, with several others scattered around the arena. Each member in that arena is trying to get that spear. How does you character survive this ordeal?
Edmund would run away and try to get to high ground. He does not have any spear training, or much weapons training in general; he only knows some swordsmanship, as any merchant would be wise to do.
"Where am'I?", Edmund yells
"Shut y'self uh-p!" another man replies
Edmund backs up and lets the other people fight
He then waits for the remainder or last person to confront him
The last man thrusts the spear at Edmund
He dodges,
The man runs towards him and lurches
Edmund spins around and grabs him by the hair, swinging him onto the ground
He then rips the robe off the man's back and chokes him with it

"Get on, y' drunken fool!", a guard replies
