Name:

Answer - Isak Atwood

Age:

Answer - 24

Culture:

Answer - Northerner Summit Folk

Story & Biography:

Answer - Isak is the third son of Jarl Ásbjörn Atwood, a seafaring warlord, and his bond wife Camilla. He was born in the year 976 A.T in the small walled city of Skogsjhem, located along a particularly hostile and hazardous stretch of coastline south of the ruins of Norvaskr. Atwood men are brought up to be ferocious warriors, and while being the son of a bond wife certainly didn't offer him the same prestige as his older brother, Sylas, Isak was no different. He was trained from his youth to become a berserker, and served in his father's army until the blizzard 'Rithgar' ravaged their lands beyond repair. Many of their clan fled to their allies in another kingdom, but Isak set out toward other lands in Esna to seek out glory and wealth by his own means.

Open-ended questions
At least three must be answered. Delete the spares(if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each of the answered questions.

Question 1
You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewellery on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...

Answer: Isak flares his nose in annoyance as the man rushes past him, yelling some obscenities in his native language that the thief was likely unable to understand as he ran off anyhow. He moves to continue toward his destination, when by chance he peers off into alley and locks eyes with the injured women. He does a double take on the fleeing thief, and then begrudgingly makes his way into the alley to help the woman with her injuries. After briefly examining her injuries, he'd conclude that they were well beyond his scope of medical knowledge [none] and try and get her to someone with the appropriate skills to help. Without thanks, or even bothering to see if she'd recover, he'd leave and go about his business.

Question 2
You are on your way to the Korsian city of Telth to sell some wares. Upon reaching the front gates you are stopped by the guard. They deny you entry for the time being as the traffic into the city is too high. You are effectively forced to wait in the refugee camp located between the two gates for the time being. The camp is
filled with shopping stalls and refugees sleeping on the floor. How do you spend your time in the camp?

Answer: Isak trudges about the refuge camp with an inpatient scowl plastered on his face like a painting, unwavering until he stumbles upon familiar faces surrounding a campfire. Northerners. His expression would quickly soften, and he'd spend the rest of the time he'd have to wait in the camp with the people of his homeland. They would drink, share stories of their travel and then Isak would ask what they were doing heading into Korsian. Regardless of their answer, Isak would do his best to make sure they were comfortable were they were, and that when he left they would be better off than when he arrived.

Question 4
In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…

Answer: Isak lets out a fiendish shriek as he cuts through enemy lines with axe and sword, and in the brief clearing of battle he spots the wounded soldier. He makes his approach, screaming at him again to try and scare him to his feet, to get him moving, to make him an opponent worth fighting. The soldier however just stares, fearful and crying as he cradles his companion. Be it out of mercy, or simply too enveloped in his own frenzy to care for such a pathetic display, Isak carries on. Charging towards the hostile forces with the rest of his fellow berserkers in tow.
