Terms & definitions
Answer these definitions using your own words. The definitions can be looked up if necessary, however copy-pasting is not allowed.
What do you define as roleplaying?

Answer - Roleplaying in my view is assuming the role of another person (which you may or may not have created) and acting/thinking like they would in varying situations. This of course is usually done for enjoyment and fun, hence why servers like this exist, to give people a place to be other things, and do or be things not possible elsewhere.

Describe the term ‘powergaming’

Answer - Powergaming (can also be considered godmoding) is essentially forcing actions upon another player, or RPing your character as just invisible and godlike. For example your in CRP and you 'auto hit' your opponent IE Bob stabs bill in his heart before turning and facing Billy, or it could be blocking all hits/taking none at all (this of course could be possible IRP but it would take some extreme to pull off)

Describe the term ‘metagaming’

Answer - Metagaming is using information gathered OOCly (out of character) to your advantage ICly. This could include finding out where someone hides their goodies and going to loot it, your friend DMing you on discord/(insert relevant instant messaging service here) that he's being attacked and needs help (unless staff allows it because the char would be there or something, stipulations are always possible, but not entirely plausible) and you start heading his way or log on and start heading his way to assist.

What is a "Mary-Sue" character?

Answer - A Mary-Sue character is a character that is perfect, there is nothing wrong with them, they know everything, they are impeccable fighters. Let it be making new potions or fighting off hordes of powerful enemies, there is nothing your local Mary Sue can't do with little to no effort.

Answer -
Outsider Common (To those outside the clan) - Duryn (Duh-yorn) Coldhelm
Common (Inside the clan) - Duryn Kyrnson
Outsider Formal - Duryn son of Kyrn of the Clan Coldhelm
Formal - Duryn son of Kyrn

Answer - 27

Answer - Northerner, Mix of Midlands/Summit folk, near the border between those two areas, Way of the 5, mainly Vintas and Hedren.

Story & Biography:

Answer - Duryn Coldhelm was born just south of the Summit/Midlands border, in the foothills of the snowy mountains in land belonging to a small but old Clan by the name of Coldhelm. The namesake for the clan isn't fully confirmed but the most common legend in that years past, the chainmail attached to the back of one of their Cheiftains helmets froze to his neck while serving as a bannerman in campaign. The clan at its peak was maybe 45 people, all of whom were related in some way, in Duryns case he was the Chieftains Nephew, his dad was the Chiefs younger brother and served as his Huskarl. He is the standard Northerner most come to expect, blue-grey eyes, Murky red/brown hair, though he stood a few inches taller than most, standing around 6'9-6'10 depending on whether or not he had boots. Duryn was trained to fight from an early age- he was never by means a master of any sort but he knew which side of the weapon was which when it counted, aside from this training as the Chieftains nephew and Huskarls son he was often placed in 'Officer' type roles, or leadership ones, leading small trade caravans to the Drahl crookman, lumberjacks, and the occasional hunt (Though his father and uncle usually preferred to lead these). During this many small adventures of his he often encountered many Grulk, and came to favor heavier two handed weapons, or the axe and shield when dealing with them- Aside from gaining favor for certain combat types he picked up the common form of the Druhl language and most importantly a wanderlust- He yearned to see what was beyond his clans lands and that of the swamps of the crookman.. Sadly this opportunity would not come for many years, but these years in limbo brought other things he would hopefully find useful, basic combat skills, carpentry, survival, and a basic ability to read Norvian (Though no other languages). His chance finally came when his uncle decided it was time they renewed their knowledge of the outside world and warring factions, Duryn eagerly volunteered for this role, and with his relation to the Chieftain he was of course selected... and here is where our story truly begins, as Duryn found his way to Downwater..

Open-ended questions
At least three must be answered. Delete the spares(if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each of the answered questions.

Question 1
You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewellery on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...

Answer: Knowing he was to drunk to properly run down the thief, Duryn would cup his hands around his mouth, and using his massive northern lungs bellowed out "THIEF, THIEF." Before pointing towards the fleeing man, hopefully sending some more sober townsfolk after the man- or even the guard, while he quickly turned down the alley way and drunkenly knelt by the woman, taking a piece of his shirt and pressing it onto her wound, his face wracked in concentration as she coughed weakly, staring up at him dazed she would try to speak to which he a bit more forcefully than he meant to covered her mouth with his hand "Shh... sabe ur'ength" he spoke bluntly and quickly before hollering behind him- raising his voice once more so it could be heard over the scuffle of feet of the people running the man down "Simon' git the apo'icary! e's ben stabbed!". He continued holding pressure on the wound as he tried to keep her awake, gently patting her face when she seemed to slump into unconsiousness, his experience in battle had taught him people tended to survive more wounds when they remained awake and aware.. "Cim un, kehp ur' eyes upon" he slurred softly while hoping someone had actually gone to get the apothecary...

Question 3
You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much, but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...

Answer: Nod grimly, he had tried Drahl food in the past during one of his many trade runs. He thanked the 'old crone' in common Drahl, which made her hesitate handing him the food briefly, before relinquishing the bowl of stew of some sort of fish/aquatic life. Duryn peered at it curiously, sniffing it and gentle poking at it, looking between her and it before digging in, never keeping his attention on the bowl for too long as the crone moved around her camp, watching him as well as she went around with her chores. Duryn grumbled lightly as he finished the food, he'd never been partial to the food of Drahl, preferring the cooked meats and breads of the north far more than this.. but at least it would keep him alive, or so he thought.. as he relaxed against the tree, he realized how tired he was, with a groan he grabbed his axe and moved off into the forests, finding a large tree to climb up and tie himself to before falling asleep... He slep fitfully for a nearly two hours before he awoke in a sweat, heaving his insides over the side onto the forest ground, the food he'd injested finding itself back in the world again, and out of the dark of his stomach.. He sadly was stuck like that for the remainder of the night, drinking little water as he did not want to waste what he had, nor did he want to drink from the swamps here.

Question 4
In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…

Answer: Growl lightly at the man, shield still raised as he flourished his axe towards the oncoming enemy, bringing it ringing against his shield with a loud clash as he gave a wordless bellow- opting to ignore the grieving and defenseless man as another opponent came from the side, Duryn only having enough time to deflect his blow with his axe, stumbling as he turned to face the enemy, shield raised in his direction in order to block any blows that may come- though no did, as he completed the turn one of the Chieftains appeared spearing the man in the back of the head, his spear becoming a twirling light of death as he pushed forward into the enemy, Duryn and others quickly following and forming a wedge behind the man and his spear. Duryn bashed his way into the enemy mass, hurling his weight behind his heavy spiked northern shield, and bringing his axe down on those directly in front of him. As they moved a group heavily armoured knight made their way to the front interlocking their shields in a 5 man wide immovable wall which the wedge smashed into.. momentarily halted the momentum had halted, and the enemy had a place to make their stand once again- spears were thrusted through the gaps between the knights who planted their feet and held firm against the charges, their flanks now reinforced by moralized foot soldiers. One of these thrusts caught Duryn in his right shoulder, which in the rush off battle, adrenaline pumping through his veins only served to anger him as he threw himself into the enemy line, going to puncture a hole in the line, ignoring what blows caught him, pain was nothing in this moment as he tackled a man in front of him, landing on him shield first, the spikes of his shield combined with Duryns weight killing him as sword, spear, and axe alike fell on Duryns back.. he died bellowing wordlessly and attempting to swipe the feet from enemies.. but he had successded.. The enemy line had broke, and his body became a bridge to another wedge into the enemy's weakened flank...
