Torygg Gunderson is a harden traveller and huntsman.

During his early winters as soon as he was able to hunt Torygg would assist his father and the rest of the clan hunters in gathing enough food for him and the rest of the family and soon enough he grew an affinty in the ways of the hunt. Despite his talents Torygg hated the killing of animals but he couldn't bare to see his brothers starve therefore he always strived to hunt to the best of his ability. As each winter went by his skills grew, surpassing the elder hunters and began leading them during their outings, bringing game from every bountiful forest in the Midlands they ventured to.

After the night of his father's death Torygg became wracked with grief, feeling at a loss in life unable to move past this pain he chose to leave his brothers and the family to journey through the Orlus Valley and beyond hunting each day as a cause for distraction, doing what he did best. However he did not spend his winters during exile in complete solitude. As his travels brought him futher south from his homeland he would journey to various settlements for supplies, equipment and a chance to revisit civilization spending many nights drinking away his sorrow, brawling local drunkards and occasionally cure his loneliness if the tavern wenches were willing. Although he never could leave the wilderness for too long as to him during this time the breath of the wild was his calling.

Two winters ago Torygg's travels brought him to the Northern Plains of Oseria. During one evening on the hunt for his supper Torygg happened upon a wolf carcass with an arrow lodged through its throat. Cursing the owner of said arrow, Torygg began preperations to skin the poor beast when he found there was something from under the wolf moving, it was a pup.
He had discovered there were three newborn pups, although two had expired this one, despite losing an eye to infection and too weak to stand it was clinging to life, determinded not to join its pack. Of course the rational thing for Torygg to do would be ending its misery but as he held this poor wretch in his hand he was sent back to the day his father died, every emotion from that dreaded memory flooding back into his heart, the pain and anger that came from death and the shame he has felt since cowardly leaving his brothers to fend for themselves not even knowing if they are alive. All these years hunting and Torygg had forgotten the very reason why he was a huntsman.
On that evening he promised to make amends and renuite with his family and do his duty to his father.

Setting his sights north Torygg set off bringing the wounded pup, now named "Freki" as a reminder of his new resolve. During his journey home he nursed, fed and trained the pup. Soon enough the wolf was joining Torygg in his hunts for food, the two becoming great allies.
Back in Northen lands the duo came across a great danger, the paths Torygg had took previously when decending from the north were now filled with Grulk and eventually Torygg and his companion were imprisoned in one of their caves. Uncertain of their fates Torygg was determined to leave, although the escaping was louder than he hoped for and in the confusion somehow with a stroke of luck he had set the grulk cave on fire then rushed out un-noticed. Unfortunately Freki was no where to be seen and due to his current situation Torygg had no choice but to continue alone.

Eventually Torygg found his way home but his family had left a long time ago, refusing to fail his promise he now continues on searching the Northern lands for his brothers and finally be reunited with his family.

Section 4/4 - Open-ended questions
Please answer at least three of the questions to show how your character would interact with the world. Delete the spares (if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each question you answer.

Question 1

You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewellery on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...

Considering my current state I rush back into the tavern and alert the barstaff in the clearest way possible what has happened and ask them to assist me in tending to this woman's wound and getting her out of the cold night air. Once the women's life is not in danger and the morning has come I find the authority of the town and let them know of what I saw.

Question 4

In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…

I leave them be, the soldier is clearly not in a state to fight and their allies will soon be with them, I would gain nothing from murdering this enemy. Seeing the advancing force the best course of action would be a retreat back to my comrades or else I'll be in a worse condition than the soldier. I give them an understanding nod and retreat.

Question 5

You have wandered across a seemingly endless tundra for what have felt like days. A raging snowstorm makes you unable to see more than a few metres ahead. Being almost out of resources, you are delighted to find out that you have stumbled your way to a village. Upon closer inspection you find out it's a Northern village, and the residents are not very friendly towards strangers. What do you do in this dire situation?

I'd stow my weapons in my backpack and identify myself to the villagers as a fellow Northener from the midlands and declare that my only intentions are that I require food and shelter with items and Kura in exchange reasuring them I will remain respectful towards the village during my stay, respecting the village's rules and way.
