Story & Biography:

-Golihart's mother, Embla, was a Northerner mercenary guarding a merchant caravan passing through the Krelkar Wilds along a trade route to the Kharman Desert, until the caravan was attacked by Drahl bandits. Embla fought and took several bandits down, receiving several grievous injuries of her own, but the caravan was looted and the others in her group had either been killed or fled for their lives. The mercenary was left for dead along with the wreckage of the battle, fading in and out of consciousness waiting for death.

Golihart's father, Kusrik ,was a healer and the unofficial religious leader of a small Drahl collective in the Krelkar Wilds. While Kusrik was searching for herbs in the wilds he came across a recently attacked caravan. He congratulated himself on his good fortune as he began searching through the wreckage and bodies for anything that the attackers may have neglected to take, only to jump in surprise as one of the bodies he was ransacking grabbed his hand and drew a dagger on him, before falling unconcious once again. Kusrik had not expected to find the aftermath of banditry, let alone a survivor, so he wasn't fully prepared to heal a dying stranger, but he did what he could to save the stranger clinging to life using the herbs he had gathered during his venture.

Embla was barely aware of what was happening, but she knew she was moving, being dragged somewhere, by who or what she couldn't tell, but in her current state she had little say in the matter, and soon she slipped out of consciousness once again. It took quite a while for Kusrik to drag the burly stranger back to his collective, and it took even longer to nurse her back to health. After several days Embla began to recover enough to understand what was happening, soon conversing with the stranger that had saved her life, the two introducing themselves and learning much about each other over the course of her recovery. Once she had recovered, Embla decided to stay in the collective for a short time, and then a short time longer, and then longer still, eventually becoming a seemingly permanent part of the community despite her statements otherwise.

Eventually the two married each other, and not long after, Golihart was conceived. The couple was happy, her mother convincing her father to come with her back to her clan in the north after their child was born, but the plan changed when Embla went into labor. Embla did not survive Golihart's birth, leaving Kusrik to raise her.

Golihart had a nice childhood, raised by her father and the rest of her collective. As she grew older, Golihart grew curious, and as she did her father taught her about herbs, healing, Tsarra, and what her father knew of her mother and the lands to the north from where she had come. When Golihart was grown, she went on many spirit quests, in one she found herself among the snow being greeted by a strange woman she had never met accompanied by various animals. After discussing this vision to her father, he adviced that she go north to learn more about her mother and the land she came from.

Section 4/4 - Open-ended questions

Question 1

You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewellery on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...

-Golihart began to snap at the stranger as he pushed past her, but he was out of sight before she had a chance. The Drahl quickly forgot the meager transgression against her as she glanced down the alley, seeing the injured woman. She quickly shook off her inebriation, rushing over to help her. She used the herbs she had on hand on the stomach wound before bandagging it, a small sigh escaping as she did so. "I suppose I can't really get paid for this after you'd just been robbed can I..." She mumbled to herself in a grumble, giving the victim a final once over before going back to her day.

Question 2

You are on your way to the Korsian city of Telth to sell some wares. Upon reaching the front gates you are stopped by the guard. They deny you entry for the time being as the traffic into the city is too high. You are effectively forced to wait in the refugee camp located between the two gates for the time being. The camp is

filled with shopping stalls and refugees sleeping on the floor. How do you spend your time in the camp?

-Being stuck outside left Golihart a bit grumpy, but she was determined to make the best of things. She began her short stay by finding a comfortable and safe place to stay for the night by playing on the sympathy of a merchant caravan in a similarly frustrating position. With lodging taken care of she went in search of a meal and a way to pass the time. She traded medicine for a bowl of stew to a refugee family with a sick child, staying with them for a short while to make sure the treatment was working properly before leaving. After some time Golihart stumbled across another Drahl selling herbal concoctions of a different purpose out of the sight of guards. Golihart didn't remember much of the rest of her wait outside of Telth.

Question 3

You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much, but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...

-Golihart had extensive experience eating things that those who hale from other parts of Esna would turn up their nose at, and it was unlikely that it was life threatening if the woman was giving a warning beforehand. She thanked the woman and paid for her meal, eating it and even licking the plate clean, it may not have been a meal she particularly enjoyed, but she was not one to waste a meal, especially one she had paid for.
