What do you define as roleplaying?
-Creating and acting, in game, as a character with their own strengths, weaknesses, and character traits. This should include physical, mental, and emotional traits the character develops through RP and backstory.
Describe the term ‘powergaming’ in your own words:
-Taking advantage of game mechanics or building a character with the purpose of being stronger, smarter, faster, etc... than should be normally achievable by characters in the game. It really limits RP in my opinion. Within a server like this, powergaming could be as simple as emoting multiple actions which make it so that other players aren't able to react/respond/defend themselves properly. (simple example: "I punch you in the face and then kick you in the stomach until you fall down")
Describe the term ‘metagaming’ in your own words:
-Using OOC knowledge in game, when your character has no way/reason to have such knowledge or skills.
What is a "Mary-Sue" character?
-A character who is perfect (physically, or with in-game skills or knowledge) and greatly limits RP opportunities. In their perfection, a Mary-Sue character isn't able to follow the same rules as the rest of the world, and therefore changes the rules of the game around themselves. If a character can't make mistakes or "lose" at anything, then they can't be bound to the same rules as flawed characters.
What does the abbreviation ‘OOC’ mean & when should this be used?

-Sten is a young man hailing from a small midlands village where he grew up learning to catch and cook fish from his mother, who is recently deceased. Although his village was not wealthy and had very few warriors to keep its border safe, he grew up strong and healthy, learning to be a good Northman by following the Way of the Five and fighting alongside the other young men and women of the village. A Seer from a nearby village taught him to read and write, although he always preferred learning to use an axe or standing near the water, casting lines and helping to feed the people he cared for.
After his mother's death, Sten decided to leave the village in order to continue learning the ways of the world. He hopes to visit all of the Northern Holy Sites and receive blessings from Seers in as many villages and lands as possible. He also hopes to learn as many mead recipes as possible on his journeys, so that he might one day make the finest mead in all the North. As the Spirits lead, he will follow, to whatever end they have in mind for him. He hopes to walk the same path that the great King Ardyn the Uniter walked, and find new ways to bring people together in their worship of the spirits.
Recently, Sten has heard rumors creeping through the Midlands that Valdarr has been rediscovered, and even the merest possibility has set his soul on fire. Once the sprits show him that he is worthy, Sten plans to make the trek to find that most historical place, and use what he finds there to set him on the next course for his life.

Question 2
You are on your way to the Korsian city of Telth to sell some wares. Upon reaching the front gates you are stopped by the guard. They deny you entry for the time being as the traffic into the city is too high. You are effectively forced to wait in the refugee camp located between the two gates for the time being. The camp is
filled with shopping stalls and refugees sleeping on the floor. How do you spend your time in the camp?
-Sten would find a safe place to store his goods while he took in the scenery with wonder. With so many people about, he'd walk the camp slowly, nodding and exchanging pleasantries where they were welcome. Hoping to find another Northerner, he's continue wandering, asking other merchants about their wares and hoping to make some trades before entering the city. Once satisfied that he'd met and traded with as many people as were willing, he'd return to his things and see about building a small fire to prepare his lunch with.
Question 3
You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much, but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...
-Being a proud Northerner, Sten would accept the meal with a smile and then find his way to some privacy. After a few pokes with the blade of his knife and more than one sniff, he'd take his first nibble and send a prayer to the spirits to make his stomach iron. If the food turned on him, Sten would find a bush and hunker down until the storm passed. Next time, he would be wiser and avoid strangers offering strange foods... probably.
Question 4
In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…
-Offer the dead and dying a nod, acknowledging their honor in battle, before bringing my axe down on the survivor's head and granting him a swift and clearly welcome death. I'd clean my axe blade as I said a few words to the Spirits about the soldiers and their bravery. Afterwards, I'd remove any weapons, armor, and treasure from the soldiers that I could make use of, and I'd be on my way back to my fellow Northerners.
