- Felix Covett

-Age: 28

Can your character read and write?:

Story & Biography

-Felix is a radical Korsian Scientist obsessed with prolonging human life by any means, children's stories of gods from the north and Drahl drugs that were said to invoke a holy presence intrigue him and send him on a quest to find a way to contact a being with such power and restrain them long enough to learn the secrets of immortality. His taboo experiments and tests get him excommunicated from his home town and lead him to become a nomad. Driven by his mad dilutions he spends his time attempting to track people down who claim to have experienced a god's presence and con them into giving him information. His first stop in every town is the local distillery that he can use to brew his potions and work on his experiments.
His experiments range from mixing Drahl psychedelics with chemicals to using drops of animal blood and sap from flora to create brews that could invoke a god's presence. More extreme experiments include torturing devote followers of a religion to see if he could invoke a god's wrath. Some things seem to work more than others, although none of his experiments could be considered a "success". Many would consider his beliefs to be deranged and avoid him due to his sporadic behavior.

Section 4/4 - Open-ended questions
Please answer at least three of the questions to show how your character would interact with the world. Delete the spares (if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each question you answer.

Question 1

You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewelry on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...

- I yell for someone else to administer first aid to the woman and make chase with the man, upon catching up to him in my drunken state I would pull out my weapon and try to begin combat using cheap tactics such as toxins that burn skin and agitate nerves. Losing my temper and sustaining injuries in the process of attacking him.

Question 2

You are on your way to the Korsian city of Telth to sell some wares. Upon reaching the front gates you are stopped by the guard. They deny you entry for the time being as the traffic into the city is too high. You are effectively forced to wait in the refugee camp located between the two gates for the time being. The camp is
filled with shopping stalls and refugees sleeping on the floor. How do you spend your time in the camp?

-I walk around asking the refugees about their experiences with powerful beings and when I find someone who claims to have seen or heard from a deity. I take a seat near them and observe them taking notes on their features and characteristics looking for any similarities between them and previous people that he has interviewed. After speaking to them he will attempt to search for possible synthesis materials for my experiments in the shop stalls.

Question 3

You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...

-Assure the woman that Drahl culture is nothing new to myself and eat the food, no matter the taste or effects I thank the woman and pay in full. I ask her about the local inhabitants of Crookmire and if there are any mystics or shamans in the area that I could speak to about their culture.

Question 4

In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…

- I allow him to say a final prayer and tell him that his pain will be over soon and that he will be able to see his friend, I make the death quick and painless. after killing him I examine the fabric he was clinging to so dearly and keep it as a trophy.

You’re almost there! Your application is pending.

There are only a few things to change for a final decision.

Make the following edits to your application:

1. Your skin is not appropriate for the server, please keep in mind we are a serious medieval roleplay server. Your skin must reflect this. Please read up on the server's lore or look through other accepted applications for guidance.

2. Your character's bio insinuates gods and magic as well as fantastical alchemy and general high fantasy world tropes. This is a low fantasy server, and it is stated in several places that high fantasy concepts like casting magic are not a part of the server. I understand you technically say they are stories, but I would appreciate more of an emphasis on the fictitious nature of this aspect of the character. Gods as in the server are not named God, but each culture has their own, and you do not use these lore-friendly deities. This is a realistic low fantasy server.

3. Science and courts are generally not a thing in this time period of the server as we know them today, and although that doesn't mean you cannot try to work with such concepts within your own rp, you must reflect your answers of the questions as if it was a multiple player rp scenario.

Once that is done, make a comment affirming you have made these changes and your application will be reviewed again as soon as possible.

Good luck!
