Answer - Flore Draskovits

Answer - 19

Answer - Southern Oserian, Tarishaw

Story & Biography:

Answer -
Flore was born in Tarishaw as a commoner- her family being tailors and low-level military men. As the plague began to take effect, they abandoned the Duchy and headed to Avendale in hope of better work and safety. After landing a spot in the military, for her father, and a job at a tailor's workshop, for her mother and brother, they were able to settle down again and live a peaceful life. As her mother tried to teach her in the ways of clothesmaking and farming, Flore continued to try to follow her father's path in the military, hoping one day to gain the title of "Knight". She'd spend most of her time away from home, fencing with a tree or watching as guards defended their city against raiders and take notes- she was determined to help fight, wanting to make a greater difference than what sewing clothes for Nobles would do.

Open-ended questions
At least three must be answered. Delete the spares(if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each of the answered questions.

Question 3
You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much, but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...

She glanced at the old hag, her olive eyes thinning into slits. Why, do you drug it? Is it made of humans? Some sort of magic? she wanted to ask, but managed to maintain politeness and acted grateful, taking the food and dropped a few coins into an open palm before walking off to sit down somewhere. Settling down on a rock, she took a bite and gagged.
This is terrible, but I suppose I got what I paid for, the girl thought with a grumble and continued eating. Not long after, she was crouched below the same rock, throwing up after convulsing several times and gaining the attention of passerby's.
Damn woman! What a scam!

Question 4
In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…

Flore's form softened, lowering her sword slightly at the depressing scene. Her dark, olive green eyes flitting between the quickly advancing force ahead and the soldier, she sharply exhaled and took a step forward, her high guard stance descending into a slicing motion as she went for the space between their armor on the back of their neck as they continued to sob over their fallen brethren, head bowed to gaze down upon their corpse.
They knew what they were getting into when they became a soldier, she thought, trying to dislodge the feeling of guilt. They're with their ally now. In a better place.
The woman grimaced, though, under the helmet, it went unseen as she gave a harsh yank, letting the soldier fall to the floor. Left unchallenged, the sword had sliced through thin clothing underneath the armor and been lodged into their neck- not even halfway- but enough to kill.

Question 5
You have wandered across a seemingly endless tundra for what have felt like days. A raging snowstorm makes you unable to see more than a few metres ahead. Being almost out of resources, you are delighted to find out that you have stumbled your way to a village. Upon closer inspection you find out it's a Northern village, and the residents are not very friendly towards strangers. What do you do in this dire situation?

Tugging a hefty polar bear coat over her, she glanced up and squinted, trying to see what the dark, looming buildings ahead of her were, blurred by the fervent flurry. A village... she thought, biting her cheek. A Northerner one... the woman became pale, about the color of the snow. The cold was harsh and biting, and the knowledge of being so close to imminent death held no warmth. But still, continuing in the cold guaranteed a cold perish. Going into the village at least had the potential of survival.
Holding the hefty bag of supplies closer to herself as she approached, she didn't dare look any citizen in the eye, only looking up to glance at the shop signs until she saw an inn and gingerly opened the door and closed it soundlessly in order not to disturb anyone inside.
