However one day a group of enslavers kidnapped him while he was in the desert and brought him back to their fortress.

At the fortress, he was branded with tattoos and beaten. The tattoos were meant to signify that he was a slave under them. After a few weeks of hard labour under the enslavers. Asu devised a plan to escape. He and another group of young men were able to break free and run off. Asu would depart with the other slaves to return home. Sadly as he returned home, news came that his father died during a hunt. Devastated, the boy would leave his hometown, hoping to find a new purpose

Section 4/4 - Open-ended questions
Please answer at least three of the questions to show how your character would interact with the world. Delete the spares (if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each question you answer.

Question 1

You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewellery on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...

  • ...would grab the thief by his wrists and deal a wobbly blow to his jaw hoping that its strength was sufficient to at least make him startled. You were still drunk and was struggling to stand up straight. You brought your fists up readying yourself. The thief would get up launch his fists towards your abdomen hoping to buy some time before he escapes. Luckily due to your lack of soberness, his jab graces your ribs and you would do a wobbly punch onto his face. Due to the momentum as you move a lot of force was created and the thief would be knocked out cold. You stood there with a childish smile and turns around. You shake your head slightly as you took out a small piece of cloth and press it down on the wound where she was bleeding. The woman pant hard and began crying for help. Luckily a guard heard her cries, rushing through the alley. The guard shoved you to the side and would attend to the woman

Question 2

You are on your way to the Korsian city of Telth to sell some wares. Upon reaching the front gates you are stopped by the guard. They deny you entry for the time being as the traffic into the city is too high. You are effectively forced to wait in the refugee camp located between the two gates for the time being. The camp is
filled with shopping stalls and refugees sleeping on the floor. How do you spend your time in the camp?

  • I would look around the refugee camp examining its environment and people. Realising that the sun might set soon, I decided to find a spot where I could rest and wait out. As I looked around I noticed that the merchants were selling some high quality weapons that might prove useful to me. Since I had the spare coin, I visited some merchants and purchased a few pieces of equipment, a short dagger and an aid kit. I looked up to the sky noticing that the sun was setting. Not wanting to sleep on dirt and gravel I made my way back to the front gates hoping traffic would have already died out by now

Question 3

You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much, but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...

  • ...would buy it anyways. Realising that it might be a good idea to use the sea-looking food as a form of bait, you decided to unsheathe your dagger and prepare a trap. About an hour would pass and a small boar would appear, it decided to take the bait and the trap would catch it. You slowly made your way and slit its neck, you realised that a boar would usually come in a small pack. So you quickly unlatch the trap and carry the boar back to where you are residing

Question 4

In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…

  • ...would look around and walk swiftly towards him. You take a look at the lifeless body and close its eyes. You pat the soldiers shoulder and said “You have a duty soldier, do not let your comrade die in vain… let us finish his fight” You said hoping to give him some faith and determination. You offered a hand up to him and would march out to continue fighting

Question 5

You have wandered across a seemingly endless tundra for what have felt like days. A raging snowstorm makes you unable to see more than a few metres ahead. Being almost out of resources, you are delighted to find out that you have stumbled your way to a village. Upon closer inspection you find out it's a Northern village, and the residents are not very friendly towards strangers. What do you do in this dire situation?

  • You decided to keep going. Despite knowing how unfriendly they are, you made your way into the tavern. As you pass by the locals you give a brief nod and smile to those that caught your appearance. You remained quiet the entire time and would slowly make your way to the tavernkeeper “I need a room… for one night… I’ll be gone by daylight” You said assuring that your presence here was only temporary
