-Roleplaying is when you play a character and play as if you were in their shoes. You perform as they would if the character was real
Describe the term ‘power gaming’ in your own words:
-Power gaming is when you roleplay for both people. It's when you create an action and reaction which does not allow the other player to do anything but succumb to your own story and narrative. Doing this allows you to become as powerful as you want and do as you want in a worst-case scenario. Least case scenario it isn't very pleasant.
Describe the term ‘metagaming’ in your own words:
-Metagaming is when you take the knowledge that you know and apply it to your roleplay experience when the character would have no right knowing that information.
What is a "Mary-Sue" character?
-A mary sue character is one that is perfect in every way and is just the most powerful and gets everything. A mary sue on this server would be someone who becomes a king and gets lots of money and gets the girl and nothing bad happens he's all-powerful and the best player ever without doing anything and expect to be given everything.
What does the abbreviation ‘OOC’ mean & when should this be used?
- Out of Character should be used when talking to staff about any issues or questions and it should never be used during any roleplay conversations.

- Yes, he was taught by his mother on his farm, his father was your typical farmer who did not know how to read or write but he married an educated woman who was able to teach Karl at a young age.

Karl, grew up in a small peaceful farm village in the plains of Esna apart of the southern Oseria people, his family being wheat farmers that supplied the large cow population in town. Karl's ancestors were killed by the plague that swept across southern Oseria and his Family was locked out of northern Oserian, because of this Karl has a slight hatred for the nobles who saw themselves better than the rest. As Oserians Karl's people are known for herding animals and being good farmers. Karl gained his strength from working on the farm and has great knowledge of farming due to his father's teachings. at a young age his mother taught him how to read and write, she would also tell stories about the Great Death to scare Karl into staying a farmer in his safe town for the rest of his life, but Karl was not easy frightened even as a kid. Karl knew farming was not the life for him despite the nature of his people who find work and stay with it for life. Karl was bored with his small town a sought adventure and action. So in his spare time, he would sneak off and seek out an old retired knight of Oseria that lived on the outskirts of town. The legendary knight would tell stories of his adventures and tales of past knights like the Order of the Healing Hand which was a group of lights that came together to help all in the world. The knight told Karl about how he brought peace to the land which was the main part of being a knight. Karl aspired to become a knight of Oseria. The knight saw himself in Karl and decided to train him with a sword. Karl was on his way to becoming a fabled knight until one night changed his life forever.
As the sunset on the farm village, Karl just snuck out of his home and headed to the old knight's house for some stories. When they heard the scream of a woman and shortly after the yell of a man, Karl, and the knight ran back to town to see Karl's house up ablaze. Men rushed to throw water on the house but by the time the fire was out Karl's family was gone. Nobody knew how the fire started or why they screamed but Karl knew it was not by accident. A day earlier a man had come into tow wanting to buy wheat for a low price too low to be sold at and the man argues with Karl's father before threatening him and leaving. With this information in mind, Karl took a knife from the retired knight and went straight for the inn. At the stables, the man was preparing his horse to leave and before he could speak a word Karl drove the knife into the man. The town was in shock, they did not know the man and Karl did not confront him about his crimes. Karl looked back and began to doubt his accusations were correct until the retired knight showed the charcoal covered hands of the now lifeless man. Many of the ton claimed it was from helping his parents others mumbled in agreement with Karl. however, the general census was that what Karl had done was borderline murder, with no proof of the crime Karl was told to leave his town. Karl mounted the dead man's horse with nothing to his name and left town looking back as he left with sadness of his dead parents and feeling betrayed by the town that he once called home.
After that night Karl questioned whether or not he could become a Knight of Oseriaafter what he did, constantly questioned if the man had killed his parents or if he was wrong. Karl knew one thing though if he was right it felt good to kill a man who had killed the innocent. So Karl looked to the bounty board for his next job.
*I'm assuming there are no specific starting items, but if there Is a horse and the dagger Karl used to kill the man would be cool.
Karl is outgoing and charming but has a dark side that shows in time of intensity and stress. He loves food but is not gluttonous by it. He seeks to help the people of Oserian and even all of Esna. Karl will stop at nothing to achieve his goal even if this means doing things others would not. Karl still has the desire to become a knight but believes that because of his actions he is not worthy so he thinks by hunting don bounties of known criminals he can show his worth.

Question 1
You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewelry on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...
- I rushed to the woman and aide her with her wound, as I do so I look for anyone who can assist. As I tend her wound a guard walks by and I call out to him as he rushes over I Irish out into the street to search for the man. The only thing left behind is a small ring. I pick it up and walk back to the lady and hand it to her apologizing that it was all I could recover. As the guard takes her to a better place to be treated I start my investigation into this robbery and make it my goal to find justice for the stabbed lady.

You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...
-As I think about eating the mystery food I question the lady about the possible side effects of eating this mysterious substance. As she simply replies with it is unpleasant I decide to stay hungry for the night as I don't want to take the chance of eating a foul meal. As I make camp my stomach grumbles and I slowly retreat not taking the risk of eating the "unpleasant" food.

In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldier's pocket. They continue to cry and start calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…
-I grab the soldier by his shoulder and tell him to get his head back into this fight, I tell him he won't have time to grieve if he's dead as I point to the approaching enemies. I promise to the soldier I will take care of his friend and help him bury it as long as he fights by my side not for me but for his dead friend. I tell him there is nothing better in life than avenging those who you have lost.
