Answer -Scython

Answer -20

Answer -Oserian

Story & Biography:

Answer -Scython has a intresting story. His father was one of the best craftsmen in the kingdom, specialising in tinkering and metalworking. His mother was a well conected lady who helped her husbands buisness. When Scython was born there was a complication. To save his life a majority his left arm had to be cut off, leaving only a bit of his sholder. He grew up learning to deal with this defect until he was 7 when his father gave him something he had been working on: a metal arm. This arm was able to be adjusted with his right arm so he could move it. As he grew up he was very proficent in mathematics, the sciences, and even learned a bit of medical knowledge. Eventually his father taught Scython all he knew. As the years passed by Scython had to replace and adjust parts on his arm. He used the knowlege to make it better and more useful, and has trained with it to a point where he can do most things a normal arm can and even some suprising uses for his arm. Eventually his father taught him all he knew and he sent his son out into the world. Scython then began traveling, learning new techniques to further enhance his skills. He hopes to one day learn a way to make his arm move without adjusting it. He wants this so he can improve himself further maybe even replacing other things.

Open-ended questions
At least three must be answered. Delete the spares(if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each of the answered questions.

Question 1
You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewellery on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...

Answer:I rush over to the woman and use my medical knowledge to patch up her wounds. Once she is in a stable condition I would find a guard and let them know what happened

Question 2
You are on your way to the Korsian city of Telth to sell some wares. Upon reaching the front gates you are stopped by the guard. They deny you entry for the time being as the traffic into the city is too high. You are effectively forced to wait in the refugee camp located between the two gates for the time being. The camp is
filled with shopping stalls and refugees sleeping on the floor. How do you spend your time in the camp?

Answer: I wander the camp looking for things that would intrest me like metal, blueprints, ect. I would also try to sell some of my creations to families or other buyers

Question 3
You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much, but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...

Answer: I test it to make sure it is not poisnous and if not then I eat it as Scython prefers to not have waste things.

Question 4
In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…

Answer: I walk to the soldier giving him something to help with his wound and leave as the enemy are advacning and I wouldn't want to get surrounded.

Question 5
You have wandered across a seemingly endless tundra for what have felt like days. A raging snowstorm makes you unable to see more than a few metres ahead. Being almost out of resources, you are delighted to find out that you have stumbled your way to a village. Upon closer inspection you find out it's a Northern village, and the residents are not very friendly towards strangers. What do you do in this dire situation?

Answer: I would go up to them offering some of my wares at a discounted price hoping to earn some respect and try to purchase shelter for the night.

Your application has been denied.

While in this state it is unsuitable for approving, you are welcome to try again.

The reasons for the denial are as follows:
  1. Considering your character has an oserian mother and father, it seems unlikely to not have a last name. Your character's first name is quite unusual, too.
  2. While I can't necessarily disallow having your character's parents be elite of certain crafts and have a lot of unspecified power, the making of a bionic arm certainly exceeds what we'd allow in the poverty, disease ridden setting of the server.
  3. Your character seems to learn an extreme amount of skills through the backstory. On ToB, we generally prefer that characters start out with little and get their experiences on the server. Try notching it a little lower.
  4. You suggest what's essentially mechanic augmentation as the main aspiration for your character. Once again mentioning the medieval, dark timey theme of the setting, this is unlikely to happen even with above-average resources and knowledge.
  5. The skin you've provided has the previously mentioned arm and steampunk(ish?) glasses. I'd definitely ask you to remove the arm and, preferably, the glasses too.
  6. Each of the answered open-endeds must be at least a paragraph in length.

On a final note, I would suggest you to research cultural lore in-depth to get a better understanding of the setting and the people of Esna.

Should you choose to re-apply, please make a new application!
