Terms & definitions
Answer these definitions using your own words. The definitions can be looked up if necessary, however copy-pasting is not allowed.
What do you define as roleplaying?
Answer - Taking on the life of a new character in a realm that's a whole heck of a lot more interesting than the one which we currently inhabit. Fantastic way to kill time.
Describe the term ‘powergaming’
Answer - Gaming the game and exploiting internal systems to give yourself an unfair advantage over your fellow players. Good way to lose friends and feel the pressure of the banhammer on your face.
Describe the term ‘metagaming’
Answer - Another neat way to earn yourself some hammertime, breaking character, the fourth wall, and more than a few rules by whipping out a cheat sheet of information relating to the situation you've gotten yourself into, then using said information to manipulate it into your favor. General annoyance for all involved and just makes the gamer in question look bad.
What is a "Mary-Sue" character?
Answer - They say "Rocks fall and everyone but me dies." The stars align, ancient monoliths shift, the gods on high look down upon them and smile. Rocks fall. Everyone except you dies in a horrible, freak accident. These folks are most often seen being perfect in every way and haven't the slightest clue as to the definition of "character development." They make funny noises when you point these things out to them and can be very much like gods if their tomfoolery continues unchecked.

Answer -
(Variations including different outfits for harsher climates, and will be utilized if the situation arises.)
Name:
Answer - Xandi Onyphi (Often called Xandion.)
Age:
Answer - 27
Culture:
Answer - Oserian
Story & Biography:
Answer - Spending his formative years working under his Father in the wheat fields and being confined to the farm and small sections of the surrounding region, Xandi grew tired of the endless cycle of plant, tend, harvest, and decided to make his living on the road, under the guise of acting as a traveling salesman for the benefit of his family. Xandi's far from being the best in his trade, and his status as the son of a mere wheat farmer hasn't exactly done him any favors as he tries to make ends meet. If he's not on the road he can often be found looking for work in the nearest tavern, assuming he's hasn't drunk himself under the table before you get to him, that is. Kind as they come and always willing to lend a hand, Xandi's moved away from his family's firm belief in the concept of the social ladder, hoping to see a world where the oserians can work towards everyone's best interests as individuals rather than just serving those above them. Xandi's moral code can be bent depending on the situation, such as some much needed food going missing when there's plenty to spare, a few loose trinkets manage to go missing, or a sign of no trespassing goes unheeded, but he lives under a firm belief that no harm should come to innocents of any descent, lest they attempt to strike the first blow.
Part 4 of 4
Open-ended questions
At least three must be answered. Delete the spares(if applicable). Please include at least one paragraph for each of the answered questions.
Question 1
You stumble outside into the open air after some heavy drinking in an Oserian tavern. Just before you're about to pass an alleyway, a hooded man rushes out of it and runs for it - seemingly, he has both a blade and some jewellery on him. You take a quick peek in the alleyway to see a feminine figure collapsed on the ground, holding her hands over a bleeding wound in her torso. The thief is about to escape and the woman seems in critical condition. You...
Answer: I'd yell some choice words at the thieving coward before doing everything in his inebriated power to provide aid to the injured woman. Jewelry can be replaced and thieves can be hanged, but there's no reason to let an innocent life go to waste over such petty things.
Question 2
You are on your way to the Korsian city of Telth to sell some wares. Upon reaching the front gates you are stopped by the guard. They deny you entry for the time being as the traffic into the city is too high. You are effectively forced to wait in the refugee camp located between the two gates for the time being. The camp is
filled with shopping stalls and refugees sleeping on the floor. How do you spend your time in the camp?
Answer: Chat with whoever'll listen and learn about local events and places of interest, attempting to make friends in the process. Information and companionship are often more valuable than the rarest of gems.
Question 3
You've gotten lost and wandered awhile into Drahl lands, eventually finding yourself in Crookmire Swamp, where you decide to settle for the night. Finding a meal to buy for the evening takes some effort, but you do come across an old crone in ragged clothing, who offers to sell you some sea-looking food. She doesn't ask much, but warns you that eating it is 'unpleasant' to outsiders. You...
Answer: Politely decline the offer to avoid any unpleasantries, curse myself for not packing enough rations for the trip and find a spot to rest under the nearest tree that appears to be of comfort. A night without food is far more appealing than days recovering from whatever effects such a morsel would set upon me.
Question 4
In the midst of battle, you find yourself approaching a wounded enemy soldier. The soldier is on the floor, clearly in terror as they cradle one of the dead. Enemy forces begin to advance in the distance and you know you have to act fast. The soldier then grasps at a cloth and removes it from the dead soldiers pocket. They continue to cry, and starts calling the dead soldier's name in despair. Then the soldier glances up to see you - with your weapon up - but does not care of your approach, continuing to cradle the dead soldier. You…
Answer: Stow the weapon and attempt to comfort the grieving soldier, offering whatever medicinal aid I can provide, regardless of the hostile advance. Hopefully there can be as little grieving as necessary this day.
Question 5
You have wandered across a seemingly endless tundra for what have felt like days. A raging snowstorm makes you unable to see more than a few metres ahead. Being almost out of resources, you are delighted to find out that you have stumbled your way to a village. Upon closer inspection you find out it's a Northern village, and the residents are not very friendly towards strangers. What do you do in this dire situation?
Answer: Do whatever I can to earn their trust, be it through manual labor or offerings of what little I have left on hand for whatever food they may be able to spare and a bed to rest in until the storm clears. I've little experience with Northerners but hopefully they cannot be so cruel as to leave an innocent man to freeze to death on their front porch.
